What is Body Mass Index (BMI) and how do I calculate it?Updated a year ago

The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a ratio of weight to height (your weight divided by your height squared) used to check if the weight of a person is appropriate for their height.

You can calculate your BMI by using the formula below:-

BMI =Weight (kg) X Height (meters)2

For example, David is 92kg and he is 1.78cm tall

David's BMI would be calculated as follows.

92 divided by (1.78 x 1.78) = 29

Which means David's BMI is 29.

We also have an easy BMI calculator which you can find online here
